We parked at Old Mine Park (Old Mine Road) in Trumbull and headed south into the historic Parlor Rock section (there was once an amusement park along the rail line like Lake Quassy or Pine Rock Park). All Trumbull parks were at one point open only to residents year round, but I searched for signs saying that and didn't find any at Old Mine Park. I suspect they had to end that xenophobic practice (what is WRONG with Trumbull???) after taking grant money to build the path, at least for the parks the path traveled through.
The trail was very nice, the Pequonnock River running alongside the trail was scenic, and the Walky-Dog attachment for my bike worked terrific.

You were lucky to not get ticketed! I parked there a few years back, in autumn on a drizzly day, the only car on the parking area, and I got a $25 ticket! This was well past Labor Day, when most towns don't bother non-residents. I hope the cop got a rash on his dupa!
That Walkydog thing looks good, the dog was certainly enjoying it and needed that swim to cool down. I'd love to do that with my dog. Thanks for sharing - I will look at this attachment.

This trail looks great and how enjoyable - I have just got a K9 jogger but my dog is too short for it - should have got the walky dog you have.
My dog was too short for the Walky Dog, so I had to lengthen the line with parts from a bungee chord.
